I take absolute care to pack and ship your prints so they can stay flat and protected in transit. Adding card reinforcements and using rigid mailers adds to the weight of the print which means that it ultimately costs more to ship them.
I will always try to get your prints ready as early as possible, however, below is a guideline for your order:US CUSTOMERS:
A do offer a few limited edition offerings. Please see the "Printables" section of my shop for availability.
Presently, I only offer prints for sale as I am unable to stock the full range of frames required to meet each and every customer's needs. There are many online and in store printing and framing shops that can help you mat and frame your prints.
You can purchase some great frames at various prices both online and in-store. I have directed customers to arts and crafts stores such as Hobby Lobby and Michaels as well as Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn and IKEA. It really all depends on your budget and the look you desire. There are also some good framing shops online as well.
To get a similar look to the frames I used in my photos, try looking for barn wood frames. These have a lovely brownish grey wood tone to them and compliment many different styles of decor. Alternatively, the animal prints look great in white, black or dark wood frames too!
Although I print on size 8.5 x 11 paper, the images of the animals will fit well within a standard 8 x 10 mat opening. There is additional white space around the print which helps with matting. If you want to put the prints straight into 8 x 10 frames they will need to be trimmed a little, but this will not affect the artwork at all as you will only be trimming off a little extra white paper around the edges. Below is a visual guide to framing this particular print size:
Here are some of the more popular print and frame sizes:
|Frame Size||Mat Opening||Print Size|
|8 x 10||4.5 x 6.5||5 x 7|
|11 x 14||7.5 x 9.5||8 x 10 or 8.5 x 11*|
|16 x 20||10.5 x 13.5||11 x 14|
|20 x 24||15.5 x 19.5||16 x 20|
|24 x 26||19.5 x 29.5||20 x 30|
|30 x 40||21.5 x 31.5||22 x 32|
This all depends on where you will be putting the artwork, the amount of wall space you have and the size and scale of the furniture you are working around. One great way to get a visual idea of how sets look hung on your wall is to measure for frames using blue painter's tape. Tape off rectangles in the size of standard frames and see how they look above your crib, dresser or changing table.
When hanging artwork, some prefer a minimalist look with only one piece hung on the wall while others prefer to group artwork in sets or in gallery collections. Experiment a little to get the look you're going for. The painter's tape can be easily removed and replaced when trying out different sizes before you go ahead and purchase your frames.
Below is a photo of my set of six safari animal prints in size 8.5 x 11. The frames are 11 x 14 with 8 x 10 mats.
Yes! All sizes up to 11 x 14 are printed here in my studio, but for larger sizes I use a professional printing partner. Please let me know if you have a specific size in mind as we can accommodate most requests.
Yes, I do take custom work when time permits. In some cases, minor changes to existing pieces can be made in which case I will ask that you add your request in the order notes when you checkout. However, please contact me first before you request changes to existing pieces. Typically, animals cannot be changed, including their colors and poses, but I can make changes to accent colors, such as balloons.
If you are interested in requesting something completely new, please contact me to find out if my current schedule can accommodate your request. Thank you!
